Bergen (formerly Spirit) and Loki (formerly Dallas)
The condition of their bodies tells us as much as we’ll probably ever know about their beginnings. And it is not a pretty story. Untreated flea allergies and neglect makes them the very definition of Borzoi in need.
Meet Spirit and Dallas; anonymously dumped at a shelter, kind hands caught them and began their road to a better life. Look closely at their photos. The neglect is obvious but, there is joy and forgiveness there too. As their personalities begin to shine, we see courage and resilience in their souls. They are eager to move forward, leaving the past behind.
Spirit is outgoing and active. He loves to play and we believe he will enjoy a life of exploration and adventure.
Dallas is quieter, more engaged with humans. He is a cuddler and total love bug in the making.
It takes a village! If two dogs were ever going to be dropped off at a shelter, NBRF is beyond grateful for it to have been Happy Faces Pet Ranch! Thank you for your immediate care and attention to them and recognizing the importance of calling for their breed rescue. Your willingness to work together for the good of these sweet souls is a blessing. We wish all shelters carried your spirit of cooperation! We promise that they will both live Happily Ever After with the support of NBRF by their sides.

They both have a lot of healing to do. As a “foster” or “foster to adopt,” Spirit and Dallas are looking for the human(s) who want to give them that paw up to a bright future. As we learn more about these sweet boys and their preferences it has become obvious that they are bonded, finding support in each other as they move forward in their new world.

These two sweet boys are the definition of inseparable! They’re super bonded and love doing everything together; playing, eating, napping, and cuddling. If one runs to the toy ball, the other is right behind. Their bond is so sweet to watch! We are under your spell sweet boys.
Dallas and Spirit are happiest when they’re side by side and NBRF has promised them that whatever makes them happy comes first! They are still looking for their perfect home.

When we met them almost three months ago; NBRF Rescues Spirit (now and forever known as Bergen) and Dallas (now and forever known as Loki) had been abandoned, were suffering from untreated flea allergies and neglect. It was not pretty. They were the very definition of Borzoi in need.
NBRF promised them that whatever made them happy came first! What made them happiest was being side by side. Staying together was a must in the search for this bonded pair's happily ever after. And their dream came true. Cherished, loved and pampered, Bergen and Loki are home forever, TOGETHER!
