Vlastelin
It is so hard to let them go. I wish I had more time with him as 4 years wasn't long enough. When I first saw Vlastelin walking towards me at the airport, I said to myself WOW, he's beautiful and a big boy. He did wonderful on the flight back home especially since I was a stranger to him and he didn't know much English. He wouldn't come when I called him. A woman that I worked with spoke Russian and she taught me how to say his name and come here, lay down and no. When I came home from work that day he was laying on the couch and I was at the door. I said his name and come here in Russian. He perked up with a smile on his face, ran to me and leaned on me. He never left my side. He was my protector. I always called him my handsome boy. He definitely was a character. If you weren't careful and left food on the counter or table he would snatch it up or try and take a taste of it. He loved to steal your seat. I am devastated and heartbroken. I lost my best friend. Annette Baker June 2023
