Enzo Furrari

"A super smart, handsome, empathetic, sweetheart with dreamy eyes. Enthusiasm and joy were Enzo’s specialties. He was a kind boy, a polite boy, a social butterfly who was at his finest meeting and greeting friends. His smile, his lean; people remembered meeting Enzo.
His presence was at the center of many of our great joys: walking with his head pressed against a thigh while gazing up with a big grin on his face, him waiting at the top of the ramp to escort us down to the yard (he was so proud to be trusted with that duty), running with abandon and incredible speed when we called. With a hand resting on his back, we had claim to royalty.
Lexi~Rose was still just a baby when we welcomed Enzo home forever. He was older than her but had had less life experience. They taught each other. Enzo sharing the joy of spontaneity and social interaction with her and she leading him to learn thoughtfulness and self control. It was beautiful to witness their relationship grow.
He lived a life of adventure and sharing that life enriched ours beyond measure.
Enzo’s spirit remained strong even as his body began failing these past few months. The list of “lasts” grew longer but we were able to keep him comfortable and content. We faced the inevitable together when he said it was time.
His was an easy crossing and we had a lovely ceremony afterward. We sang his name to him (he so enjoyed that), kissed his cheeks a hundred times, whispered how much we loved him, how proud of him we always were and how much we would miss him.
And we will."

Enzo was one of the greatest gifts of our lives. If ever there were a reason to justify rescue, he was it. We were meant to be together and NBRF made our story possible. I wear two hats today; one as Enzo's Mom, the other as a rep for the foundation.
I could think of no better way to honor the memory of our boy than to pay it forward by donating to help other NBRF Borzoi in need. Happily Ever After... It's a beautiful thing. Kate and David Watts
