Jesse

Hi Carol. I just wanted to make you aware of the death of one of the Borzois I adopted from NBRF. Jesse (your "Favors" ) was born April 10, 2005 and came to me (along with his brother) when they were eight weeks old.

Jesse crossed the Bridge on Thanksgiving, November 24, 2016. Since it was Thanksgiving, I must give thanks for the many years he shared my life and for the incredible chance I had to hold him in my arms as he passed.

Jesse and his brother Toby had been my constant companions for almost twelve years. They traveled all over the country with me, taking part in canine massage and acupressure classes and introducing people in parks, on trails and at rest stops to the elegance and sweet disposition of the Borzoi breed. In their later years "The Boys" brought delight to my Mom as well as the staff and other residents of an assisted living facility. Later they acted as ambassadors for LV CART (county animal response team) while Jesse singly greeted thousands of people each year at the PA Farm Show.

I have had many dogs in my life and will probably have a few more before I die, but Jesse was my soul mate and I cannot express how devastated I am at his death. Run free my "Big Jess" until we meet again.
