Sophia Free

I am sending a few pictures of Sophia. Most of them she is laying around. That was her. She was so terrified of the world, no toys, no outside, no running or playing. We gave her toys, walked her, tried to get her to chase squirrels in the backyard, tried to get her to love car rides. She was so shut down, so we sat and loved on her, sang to her, talked to her, even read to her. She was happy just being safe, and hopefully she felt loved.
BUT she loved her pup cup! She would get one at night after her last outside potty. She learned that she would get one when she came in. So, she devised a plan to get more. She would go to the back door to be let out, would walk out, spin around and walk right back in and then go over to the fridge waiting for another pup cup. It was so smart, charming and funny that sometimes I would relent and give her another.......
Thanks for reading my story of her.
Thanks for bringing her to us.
The cancer finally got the best of our dearest Sophia. She was a brave, beautiful, sweet, kind, funny and amazing soul. You cannot know how much we miss her. I will love her for the rest of my life.
Thank you so much for allowing me to give this sweetest girl a safe landing for the last two years of her life. Every minute with her was a precious gift, and I pray that she knew how special and loved she was while she was with us.
Our hearts are broken.
