Remi

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a month already for our boy Remi. Remi was our fifth rescue and sixth borzoi. He was our third “big boy”. Affectionate , loving, gentle and responsive from the moment we met. Remi had such a beautiful spirit, you could see it in his remarkably expressive eyes. My husband and I were so happy to be Remi’s “people”. I think Remi went for a long time without his own “person “. He was a favorite in the neighborhood and loved the attention from the kids and their parents. Remi was not a traveller -did not care for car rides or the park -he was a “homebody”. His preference was to lounge on his bed and watch my husband cook his meals.
It’s hard to imagine how quickly he bonded with us-maybe not-he was that kind of dog.
We are still processing our loss as he went downhill quickly.
We only had him for a little over a year (14) months and that magnificent dog made such an indelible mark in our lives.
Every time this happens I say “no more” and my husband just smiles-he knows I lie because the silence at home is deafening.
Will forever miss his morning kiss.

Bruce , Cheryl and Misha.
