When rescued Roxxi needed a big cleanup, lots of tangled mats on her, non-malignant tumors on her mammary glands (plus a few others), and she needed to be spayed. She also could not jump into our vehicle, had to be helped. Tumors are now removed, she has been spayed and she has enough strength to jump in the back of an SUV by herself with no help. She is up to date on all vaccinations and is heartworm negative. She had not been abused, just neglected.
A good fit forever home for Roxxi would be with a retired person/couple OR someone who works from home that would like to have a dog who wants to be in the same room because this girl loves to be with people. She also gets along well with other dogs, and it took only a few hours for her to adjust with my two.
She is definitely a sighthound, takes off after squirrels and birds (hasn’t caught any yet!) and anything else that catches her attention. There is a horse in the pasture and have been no problems with her chasing or bothering him. She has amazing stamina and energy for a 9 year old and acts more like a much younger dog.
Please consider giving this beautiful lady a stable and loving home.
