Ranger has found a forever home
Please meet Ranger. What a cutie he is!! Ranger is being fostered in Lancaster, SC. Yes, we know. His pedigree isn't quite pure but, he looks, for the most part, like a small Borzoi "something". We sent foster dad Ken to go "look" and yes, there IS Borzoi there so he couldn't leave him.
He was found as a stray and no one claimed him. He had some injuries to his rear leg. There was some soft tissue damage and there are some arthritic changes seen on the x-rays but the Vet says it is just something he will live with. No need for surgery but he does have a limp. Sure doesn't stop him from running and playing on Ken's 3 fenced acres. He is, we believe, around 4 to 5 years old. The Vet agrees.
Ranger is a pushy boy with other dogs but not argumentative. He is very sweet with people. He would do best in a home as a single dog. At the shelter, they walked him into the cat room and I am told he didn't react but since we have no cats to properly cat test him, best to say no cats.
Ranger is neutered, current on vaccinations, heart worm negative and microchipped. Since he is not quite pure, his adoption fee is $250. Ranger really is a sweet dog and VERY deserving of his own family who will love him just because. He is lead and crate trained. A fenced yard is required.
If you think Ranger is just the dog for you, & you have room in your home and heart, please fill out our adoption at http://www.nbrf.org/application & confirm receipt with email: firstname.lastname@example.org
