DaVinci Update

I am so happy to have DaVinci as part of the family.  He continues to be a wonderful, sweet, loving guy.  He fits well into our family.
DaVinci is loved by all who meet him.  He knows no strangers even though they may initially be intimidated by his size.  He's great with children but cannot be trusted with my miniature silky fainting goats.  He loves to wait until they come near a shared fence and then he pounces and they all fall over in a faint.  It doesn't hurt them but it sure makes his day.  You can see him laughing.  He loves romping around the back yard and rolling in the grass.  I'm sure he'll love having a little sister though he has to be reminded not to bowl over his playmates.  Lemur loved to play with him but he kept running into her and she wasn't happy about that.  He likes to jump up and lick any company in the face and he has to be reminded that isn't acceptable.  It does not dampen his spirits.  He's a very happy guy.  I am delighted to be able to provide a good home for him.  The vet assures me that his pannus is in remission due to his daily eye treatments which I am religious about.  He is very good about letting me put drops in his eyes twice a day.  He recently had his teeth cleaned and a bath so he's looking pretty dapper!  He has put on weight and I am having to reduce his food intake to keep him in shape.  He loves to walk and is good on leash.
I thought you might want to know he's doing well.  Linda Foster

DaVinci has found a forever home.

Meet DaVinci  DOB 12/07

He is a very handsome, neutered male who will be 4 years old in December.  DaVinci is a little shy at first but will quickly warm up to new people.  Older children will be OK but no young children.

He has an eye condition called Pannus which is being treated.  He will require eye drops for the rest of his life.  He sees fine but is listed as special needs because he will require medication.

DaVinci is house trained and loves to play with other large dogs.  He is currently being fostered in S. CA  If you would like to adopt DaVinci please fill out our adoption application and email to Carol Backers at
