Bandit is a 2 to 3 year old spayed female who is heart worm negative, current on all vaccinations and is microchipped. She is very shy but once you start petting and rubbing on her she will stand there forever wanting more. She gets along well with other borzoi however she will chew the collars off of her playmates and even ones through a fence if they will stand still long enough to let her nibble on their necks and collars! It is unknown if she is small dog or cat safe.
Bandit is from Pickle Hill.
This very sweet and girl is looking for a home with a soft bed, warm heart, kind hands and lots of love. If you are interested in adopting Bandit, please fill out our adoption application and email it to Carol Backers at firstname.lastname@example.org
May 2011 update from foster home: We have changed her name to Smokey, as in "Smokey and the Bandit", as she will come when we call her that instead of Bandit! She has not tried to chew or steal any collars off the other dogs and has settled in very well here.
Smokey is a wonderful dog. Sweet & petite - her brindle coat is beautiful. She walks well on a lead, preferring to stay right by your side or slightly behind. She's also a good jogging companion. Because of two of our dogs, we feed them separately in their crates. Smokey still eats very fast as if she is afraid someone might take her food from her. She is still somewhat timid (reserved?) with people, but gets along GREAT with other dogs her size & loves to play. And she will let you know when she has to go outside.
